Do NOT Make This Mistake...

Do NOT Make This Mistake...

What's Up Sheepdogs? Ryan here with Tampa Carry.

As a Florida concealed carry permit holder, you should know your rights, but I can guarantee you that the police know their job better than you do. After a self-defense shooting, the police are going to be a little rough with you.

They may aggressively force you to ground with their guns drawn. I've heard stories of people who used a firearm in self-defense who spent over an hour sitting in the back of a police car or face-down on the lawn.

The Police Do Not Know What Is Happening...

The bottom line is that the police do not know what is happening. They're just trying to secure the scene and make sure that everybody is safe. So don't be rude to them. Don't start screaming at them that you know your rights or you're going to sue them.

It is going to be very stressful. It's going to be extremely chaotic, and you simply have to sit there and try not to lose control of yourself, which again, is really easy to say right now in a relaxed room, sitting at a table, but really hard to do in real life. That is why this takes so much preparation ahead of time.

After They Secure The Area...

After the cops have secured the scene, and gathered all the evidence, they're going to bring you into the police or sheriff's station for questioning.

You will be brought into an interrogation room, and a detective will attempt to speak to you. Once again, you will need to request your right to an attorney.

Be polite and professional because everything you do and say in this room is being recorded.

That's all I have for today. So until next time keep training and stay safe...
