Despite what gun grabbers claim, you cannot purchase a firearm online and somehow bypass the law.

I buy a lot of firearms online because it makes it easy to shop for the best price, avoid taxes, and order from the comfort of my home. Here's how the process works. 

When I'm in the mood to add a new firearm to my collection, I begin by visiting a few websites to search for the best deal.

Once I find the gun I want for a price I am willing to pay, I submit my order.

During the checkout process, the seller will ask you which local FFL you would like the firearm shipped to. Under federal law, the firearm must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Dealer.

This gun dealer is responsible for ensuring you complete the ATF Form 4473, background check, and appropriate waiting periods under state and local law. If you have a valid Florida concealed carry permit, you are exempt from the waiting period as long as you are approved by the FDLE background check.
