The gun control community is at it again. In the last few weeks, 11 gun control bills have been submitted to the Florida State Legislator. In this video, I'm going to explain to you each bill, and what you can do to fight back.
Okay, so I got this email from the Gun Owners of America, which I'm a big supporter of them. I hope you guys are too. People always ask me, what do we need to do to really fight and defend for our rights? I think everybody has a different place. But every gun-owning American needs to be financially supporting the Gun Owners of America.
State Bill 186 - Expand Red Flag Laws
First, we have State Bill 186. This is a red flag law on steroids. So it allows even more frivolous claims to be filed against innocent persons. It denies people their fourth amendment rights and second amendment rights, all in one bill.
State Bill 330 - Universal Background Checks
Next, we have State Bill 330. Now, this bill makes selling, giving or loaning a firearm to a friend neighbor or family member without FDLE approval, a criminal offense. I think it's nonsense.
State Bill 370 - Semiautomatic Firearm & Magazine Bill
SB 370 is a semiautomatic firearm and magazine bill, similar to the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. However, there is no sunset clause, which means if this got passed, it would be very difficult to get it repealed. And you also cannot transfer possession of pre-ban items, which means if I've got an AR-15 now, which I don't. I don't own any guns. I hate guns, and I have no guns. If I owned an AR-15, and let's say this bill went into effect and I wanted to sell it to somebody else, I would not be allowed to. I would have to keep it forever, until I'm dead. And I'm sure at that point, the State of Florida would just confiscate it.
State Bill 372 - Bans Homemade Firearms
State Bill 372 is a ban on homemade firearms. So this would mean common firearm kits, like an 80% AR-15 lower, or Polymer80 Glock frame would be illegal to manufacture inside of your own home. Let's be abundantly clear, to use an old phrase from Obama. I want to be abundantly clear here.
Americans manufacturing their own firearms. That has been happening since America even existed. Ever since people came across on the Mayflower, Americans have been making their own guns. So to say that you're going to take it away from us now is extremely wrong.
SB 428 , SB 294 and House Bill 167 - Firearm Storage in the Home
Then we have State Bill 428, State Bill 294, and House Bill 167. All three of these bills create very strict requirements of how firearms need to be stored inside of your home. What pisses me off about this is I don't need the government telling me how to store guns in my house. It's not up to you. Mind own damn business. And also, rules like this make it extremely difficult for a law abiding person, like myself, to use a firearm in a home defense scenario.
House Bill 25 - Background Check for Ammunition
House Bill 25, It requires a background check for ammunition sales, and will most certainly end online and mail order sale of ammunition. It's hilarious to me. I've mentioned this in the other videos. But performing background checks on the sale of a firearm has had zero impact in homicide rates across the United States. So if doing a background check to buy a gun has had little to no impact on reducing gun violence, why would we want to expand that background check on to ammunition? We already know it doesn't work, so why are we going to make it bigger? This is the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.
SB 672 & HB 6033 - Repealing Florida's Preemption Law
Finally, the last two bills is State Bill 672, and House Bill 6033. Repealing Florida's preemption law. Now, I'll put a link to the preemption video right here, so you guys can check it out.
Imagine living in a state where every county, municipality and township had different gun laws. Listen, it's hard enough to really understand what the laws are on the state level. But imagine if the laws were different for every city, county, municipality you were in. It would be impossible. This is what the gun control community wants. They want confusion. They want it to be so difficult for us to be law abiding gun owners, that's so difficult, so hard to understand, that many people say, "You know what? This isn't worth it. I'm not going to own a gun or carry a gun, because I can't memorize all these laws."
So the strategy is, we're not telling you, you can't have it. We support the second amendment. We're just going to make it so difficult for you to comply with the laws, that most people are just going to freely give up their guns. Tell me what you guys think about this down in the comments below.
That's all I have for today. So until next time keep training and stay safe...
