Guns Are NOT The Problem... People Like This Are...

What's up, sheepdogs? Ryan here with Tampa Carry.

Politicians spend a lot of time talking about why we need to take away an AR-15 or AK-47 because that's the way that we're going to protect our society from the crazy evil people that just want to steal, kill and destroy.

Well, there's a situation that happened several years ago here in Tampa, where an insane crazy man. Now, this is crazy. The parents of this man had been trying to get him into a mental health facility his entire life because he is nuts.

It's the mental health system and our legislators that should also be on trial because it's the failures of the mental health system that have allowed this situation to happen.

He should be in a mental health facility where he can get the proper treatment so that he can come to the right frame of mind where he understands the gravity of the charge.

This man walked into a police station and said, "If you don't arrest me right now, I am going to kill somebody." That's pretty nuts. So they locked him up. They Baker Acted him.

But then as this man, Mikese Morse, was driving down the road, he saw a father riding bikes with his two sons. Mikese decided to ram his car into these three individuals, killing the father, severely hurting the two boys. So this happened many years ago.

But right now, this guy, Mikese Morse, the prosecutor just said that they find Mikese not guilty for reasons of insanity. And listen, I get it. This guy is not. You can watch here some of the Instagram videos that Mikese posted just before he tragically ran his car into this family.

What concerns me is now if the judge agrees that Mikese is not guilty, are they going to release this guy onto the public streets? Is this guy going to be walking around again, free just like everybody else?

The gun-control community loves to talk about how it's the AR-15, it's the gun that is causing the problems in society. It's not the gun, it's people like this. It's people like Mikese who have a severe mental issue, who are not getting the mental health treatment that they need.

Let's just be very honest. Some people do not belong in our society. Some people are so mentally unstable, they should not be around the rest of us. We cannot fix any type of violence in America, whether it's gun violence or ramming a car into people until we address the underlying issue, which is mental health.

Every single mass shooter has had one massive thing in common, a mental health issue. Why are we attacking AR-15s, AK-47s, or any of these other guns? When in reality, it is a mental health crisis.

So frankly, it just really pissed me off when I read that this morning, that they're going to find him not guilty. I get it. If the guy's crazy, he's crazy. But my fear is somebody like this being back on the streets, back driving a car, whether it's legal or not, he's going to be out there with my kids playing in the street. And we already know the dude is capable of a lot, does not value human life. And he needs to get removed from our society.

So tell me what you guys think. Should somebody like this be in a secured facility where they cannot hurt other people or themselves? Or should they be back out in the public with the ability to hurt again?

That's all I have for today. So until next time keep training and stay safe...
