Shocking Way to Stop an Armed Robbery

What's Up Sheepdogs? Ryan here with Tampa Carry.

Have ever heard the term, "fake it until you make it". I'm not telling you to rush out and buy a Lamborghini and pretend you're a successful entrepreneur, but in this blog, we're going to talk about a guy who stopped an armed robbery by pretending that he had a gun.

Okay, in the video above you can see a guy in the red jacket. He's very agitated. He's acting extremely strange, pacing back and forth. He is robbing this small store.

Suddenly he gets confronted by a Good Samaritan who has his right hand behind his back, and he's yelling commands at the bad guy, pretending like he's got the drop on him and he's got a gun.

This is awesome. This is fascinating. So he's got the guy detained, he's got him on the ground. I wonder at what point did this scumbag realize that the Good Samaritan didn't have a weapon.

Attempted Robbery At Walmart...

I had a woman in the class the other day who did not have a Florida concealed carry permit. She said she never thought she needed a gun.

She was coming out of Walmart when a man approached her and attempted to rob her. This woman put her hand in her purse and made it look like she had a gun and she was ready to defend herself. This caused the bad person to run away and stop the violent attack.

I honestly would be more comfortable if the woman had a gun, because what if that bad guy decides to attack anyway.

The Power of Postering...

This story is a great example of how posturing, also called pretending, can be an amazing strategy to keep yourself safe.

The woman in this story pretended that she had a firearm and was ready to defend herself and It worked.

However, the secret to staying safe is by mastering the art of situational awareness.

Situational awareness is the skill of identifying a potentially dangerous situation and then avoiding it.

That's all I have for today. So until next time keep training and stay safe...
